Happy Easter...........Spring Break to Everyone!!
Here's a Story I wanted to share! Love you All!! Thank you for the Support you give Aaron!! It means a lot. Don't Forget to Spread the Joy of music through www.aaronjameskarr.com
I have an Easter Story to tell you............ Once there was a Sister called to serve in Primary. Sister Thomas was her name. She would be teaching the 7 yr old getting ready to be baptized. She accepted the called but was nervous because there was a Special Needs Boy named Billy.
Sometimes Billy rolled on the floor, wiggled in and out of his seat and some Sundays he just stared out the window. The Other children giggled sometimes at Billy and the things that he did so, Sister Thomas continually tried to teach eacho of the Children to respect thier friend Billy. Sister Thomas didn't always have the best patience but, each week she prayed she would get through to all the of children......even Billy. On Easter Sunday morning she would be teaching the Ressurection of the Savior and wanted it to be special for each of the children to remember. She taught the lesson and most of them seemed to understand except Billy didn't seem like he was interested. For the activity after the lesson she brought bright colored plastic eggs and told the Children she was going to take them outside and they were to put something in the egg that God had created. All the kids were so excited. They all ran outside and picked up different things then they came back inside to share them. One little girl found a dandelion, a boy found a worm, another a bug, and blade of grass and so on!! Then it was Billy's turn to share with the class. Billy smiled and opened his egg and there was nothing in the egg. All the children giggled and laughed.......Sister Thomas quited the children and asked Billy why he didn't put anything inside the egg. Billy responded...........Sister Thomas The Tomb was Empty!!!! All the children were quite and Tears streamed down Sister Thomas's face. For Truly Billy showed Sister Thomas what Easter was About. She replied "Yes, Billy the Tomb was Open." And Billy truly understood the Savior's Mission here.
Two weeks later Billy passed away and returned to his Heavenly Father..........At his Funeral Sister Thomas Spoke about the events that took placed that Easter Sunday Morning in class and how Billy taught the lesson for the class. Each child in his class attended the Funeral and placed a Brightly Colored Plastic Egg on is Casket and said "The Tomb Was Open". Tears were shed throughout the church hall and many truly began to start to understand the Importance of the Savior's Love for Each One of Us and Our Eternal Families!!
Happy Easter!!! Please feel Free to pass this along! Shed a few tears and Bring a few Smiles!!
Love the Karr's x0x0x0x

Wow. That's a really inspiring and moving story. Thanks for sharing it with us. It's definitely worth remembering. Indeed, I'd never realised that while most people talk about "remembering the true meaning of Christmas", you don't hear people talking quite as much about "remembering the true meaning of Easter". So this story's very special. |
